Description
"Theorema Egregium" is the title of a solo exhibition presented by the Italian artist Stefano Bonacci at IsNotGallery in Nicosia.
Stefano Bonacci will present two different sets of works. The first is a series of drawings printed on the specialty paper Fabiano Rosaspina. The second, which he calls "Ermetica", is a series of sculptures that represent the union between two similar objects.
Theorema Egregium (Latin: "Remarkable Theorem") is a foundational result in differential geometry proved by Carl Friedrich Gauss that concerns the curvature of surfaces. The theorem says that the Gaussian curvature of a surface can be determined entirely by measuring angles, distances and their rates on the surface itself, without further reference to the particular way in which the surface is embedded in the ambient 3-dimensional Euclidean space.
Opening on Wednesday July 9th at 20:00.
Opening Hours
Monday - Friday: 17:00 - 20:00
