Description

The festival of Kataklysmos is very important for the coastal cities and in particular for Larnaca.

Larnaca holds the largest & most important folklore festival in Cyprus, the Kataklysmos Fair (Flood Festival) between 6-11 June 2014.

The sea front promenade of Larnaca takes on the colorful appearance of an open-air fair.

Fireworks, Cypriot Folk dance and music, Cypriot Folk poetry songs (the famous tsiattista), shadow theatre, swimming contests, Cypriot traditional crafts and much more.
