Photographic exhibition by Anikitos Hatzicharalampous entitled “Visitors to their own homeland”

The photographs that will be exhibited show what evolved at the Ledra Pallas roadblock after the lifting of the ban of transition to the occupied area of Cyprus in April 2003.

Anikitos Hatzicharalampous later began to record the destruction of our cultural heritage in the occupied area while at the same time photographed the faces and feelings of the Greek Cypriots who visited, as guests, their own homes.

The inauguration of the exhibition will be done on Wednesday 6 May at 20:00 by the Mayor of Famagusta Alexis Galanos.

The presentation of the album will be done by the poet and MP Eleni Theocharous.

The exhibition will remain open on Thursday, May 7 from 10:00 until 22:00.

The event is under the auspices of the Municipality of Famagusta.
