Description
Within the framework of the German PASCH initiative (“Schools – partners for the future”) the Goethe-Institut Cyprus presents the travelling exhibition “Germany in a suitcase” at the Pancyprian Gymnasium in Nicosia, which is a PASCH-partner school since 2012.
To appreciate this exhibition the visitors need not have previous knowledge of German. The playful approach on different layers of presentations and the many photos make translations unnecessary.
Visitors learn something about Germany and the Germans, “typical” characteristics , about fairy tales, landscapes and many things more, connected with a quiz.
One finds a variety of different people and opinions, can see films and hear German songs.
Those who know already some German can learn more words and expressions and how to better get along in Germany. A film shows future perspectives in Germany and much more can be detected.
The exhibition is open to the public Mondays 9.30am – 1.30 pm; Tuesdays 11.30 am – 12.50 pm and Wednesdays 9.00 am – 12.00 noon
Groups of students from other schools in Nicosia are cordially welcome, but should please contact Mrs. Wassmann (Tel. 99490098) beforehand and prearrange a date for the visit.
The admission is free.
