Description

The evil daughter, the king, the beautiful girl, the dragon, the wild dragon...heroes who have no names...but have certain qualities! Bewitched trees and fish...Nature conspires to bring about the hero's success. A lone hero that goes out into the world facing the unknown and the unexpected to be redeemed and redeem others.

The theatre group "Solo gia Treis" presents the performance "Ta Tzitrolemona". A Cypriot folk tale for young and old alike.

"Ta Tzitrolemona" is an original theatre performance based on
the folk tale that is found in Nearchos Klerides' book "Cypriot Tales - Narratives with dragons". Cypriot folk tales are narratives that have passed from generation to generation, quite often told by illiterate people who have nevertheless kept alive this kind of artform throughout the centuries. At a time when the oral tradition as a form of communication has disappeared from our daily life, theatre however can rejuvenate our interest in it and connect us once again with our roots and our past.
