Description

An operetta becomes a song of resistance, a pot of soup high treason and a small village reveals its murderous side. With black humor, this touching film tells the story of a group of Hungarian Jews who become stranded in an Austrian village. The strangers’ arrival does not only serve as a valve for the residents’ public scorn but also arouses the desire for a life in which love and music have their place.
