Description

A modern master and one of the most well-known Greek artists, Giorgos Stathopoulos, will present at our Gallery a series of his new works of small dimensions. The exhibition will take place on November 13th with free entrance to the public to visit and enjoy over thirty works of the artist that strongly bears the Greek element with the main attributes being light, love, mythology and the Greek landscape.

Giorgos Stathopoulos was born in Kallithea of Trihonida in 1944. He studied painting and sculpture at the Fine Art School of Athens alongside Yiannis Morali, Nicos Nicolaou, Yiannis Papa and Dimitris Kalamaras. He had his first solo exhibition in 1970 and has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad. He has illustrated a series of books, and designed album art and posters.

The exhibition opens on Wednesday, 13 November 2013, at 19:00.
