“Horou Haris” cultural association, presents, Nasma El Sahra dance group in the performance "AROMA ANATOLIS" (Scent of the East).

Nasma El Sahra is the only dance group in Cyprus with professional Oriental dancers from all over the island which was formed in 2011. From the Greek “tsifteteli” to the intricate Arabic rhythms they marry the old with the new, choreograph and present pieces that everyone loves, pieces that connect cultures rich with history.

Infused with the flavors of the Middle East, Asia Minor (Smyrni and Constantinople) we travel in time with Elena Xyda's lute, Veronica Aloneftou’s sandouri, Pierrick Marion’s ney accompanied by their wonderful voices. Drumming to the beat of our memories is the percussionist John Lembos.

"AROMA ANATOLIS", two notable performances one on the 03/11/2013 at “Kosmikon Kentron Antonakis” situated in the old part Nicosia and on the 24/11/2013 at Nicos and Socrates Organisation, theater at Erimi village in Limassol.
