The Association for Historical Dialogue & Research (AHDR), in honouring the International Day of Peace, invites you to join the celebrations at the Home for Cooperation (H4C) on Sunday, September 22nd between 4 and 10 pm.

The International Day of Peace was established in 1981 by resolution 36/67 of the United Nations General Assembly which declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples. Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world through education and public awareness on issues related to peace.

This year’s theme for the Day is “Education for Peace”.

The activities include the official launching of our animation on the Policy Paper: Rethinking Education in Cyprus, a cycling tour of Nicosia, art activities, mural painting, storytelling for children, backgammon tournament, live radio broadcast by MYCY radio, music by Gommalar, Cypriot food and exhibition of the work of several Cypriot and international NGOs.
