Description

The 11th International Children Folkdance Festival, organized by the Limassol Folklore Association, will take place from 27th until 30th of June in Limassol, Aglantzia and Kato Polemidia with the participation of more than 150 children from Greece, Pontos, Bulgaria, Georgia and Cyprus.

During their stay in Cyprus, the young dancers will be hosted by various families in Limassol and they will also have the opportunity to visit several archeological sights and museums.

The festival's official opening ceremony will take place Skali Aglantzias on Thursday 27 th June at 8.30 p.m.

In more detail, the Festival's program is as follows:

Opening ceremony : THURSDAY: 27th of June, Skali Aglantzias

SATURDAY: 29th of June, Evagelistrias Square, Kato Polemidia

Closing Ceremony: SUNDAY: 30th of June, Limassol Medieval Castle

Starting time: 8.30 p.m. Free entrance

Under the auspices of the minister of education and culture

The event is sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Culture (Cultural Services), OPAP, Youth Board and is organized with the co-operation of the municipalities of Limassol, Kato Polemidia and Aglantzia.
